Standard Detail of Work

1. Document all existing damage prior to start (take photos).
2. Temporarily install 4’ orange mesh safety perimeter barriers around all work areas.
3. Temporarily install “Work Area” warning signage on barriers and at key points in the park.
4. Dedicated safety  guard on site during work hours to monitor all non-attentive patrons.

            5.   Sand and prep metal to remove rust. Spot prime as needed.

            6.   Lightly sand / scuff all metal surfaces for adhesion.

            7.   Mask all areas and flooring prior to spray application.

            8.   Final pre-spray wipe down.

            9.  Color applied via HVLP spray system (8 psi at the gun) to all metal work.

           10.    Sand metal flooring as needed, prime as necessary. 

           11.   Apply 2 coats epoxy textured floor coating – roller applied.

           12.  Clean, lightly sand plastic to remove any oxidized plastic and graffiti.

           13.  Apply adhesion promotor to all plastic surfaces. 

           14.  Apply permanent 2-3 coats of UV color topcoat (3-part epoxy) via HVLP to restore color. 

           15.  Apply permanent UV clearcoat to direct contact surfaces (slides).

           16.  Minimum 36-48 hr. cure required for all completed work

           17.  Remove and dispose of all masking, plastic sheeting, etc.

           18.  Clean work area and remove safety barriers.

           19.  Inspect, photograph completed work. .

3 Year No-Fade Warranty  Playground Rescue guarantees that your restored plastics will not noticeably fade for 3 YEARS from the date of refinishing. Depending on geographic location, outdoor playgrounds generally reach 5 years before any fading begins again. Indoor playgrounds last well past 5 years.

Guarantee excludes neglect, physical damage, including that caused by vandalism (keys), acts of nature, or the use of solvents, pressure washers at close range, or abrasives on the substrate surfaces. Guarantee is limited to refinishing services only. .
